Germany to evacuate nationals from Lebanon

Germany has taken proactive measures to evacuate non-essential staff, embassy workers’ families, and medically vulnerable German nationals from Lebanon. The joint statement by the foreign and defense ministries on Monday assured support for those seeking to leave the country.

Despite raising the crisis level in Beirut, Ramallah, and Tel Aviv, German embassies in these locations are still operational. Currently, there are 1,800 registered German citizens in Lebanon, according to a spokesperson from the foreign ministry.

The German embassy is actively assisting remaining Germans in Lebanon to depart through commercial flights and other available means. Both the Foreign Office and Ministry of Defense are closely coordinating efforts to facilitate safe exits for those in need.
