Fatal knife attack in Shanghai ahead of China’s National Day holiday kills 3
Three lives lost and 15 injured in a tragic knife attack at a Shanghai supermarket as China prepares for its National Day holiday. The victims were swiftly taken to hospital, but unfortunately, three did not survive their injuries. Fortunately, the remaining injured individuals are in a stable condition.

The suspect, a 37-year-old man named Lin, was apprehended shortly after the attack in Shanghai’s Songjiang district. The police were alerted late in the evening and an investigation is ongoing.

Allegedly motivated by personal financial disputes, Lin had come to Shanghai to express his anger. However, his actions resulted in devastating consequences. The police have not disclosed Lin’s place of origin.

This appalling incident serves as a grim reminder of the impact of violence and the importance of addressing conflicts in a peaceful manner. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
