The 79th UN General Assembly, held in New York with representatives from 193 member states, saw discussions on Israel’s attacks on Gaza and Lebanon and calls for UN reform.
The week-long event welcomed numerous leaders and officials, notably President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, who condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide, killing thousands of innocents.
Other leaders, including Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa, also spoke out against Israeli aggression and called for immediate action to end the crisis.
With world leaders highlighting the urgent need for peace and accountability, the UN General Assembly witnessed strong condemnations of Israel’s actions, pushing for reform, justice, and an end to the violence in Gaza and Lebanon.
These voices collectively demanded a halt to the bloodshed, emphasizing the need for immediate action to address the humanitarian crises and uphold human rights.
