US Military boosts Air Support in Middle East amid Iran tension

The US Department of Defense has ramped up the combat readiness of its forces in response to potential threats from Iran, according to spokesman Pat Rider. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and provided guidance to his team on the latest developments over the weekend.

The Pentagon’s main focus is on protecting American citizens and forces in the region, as well as defending Israel and reducing tensions through deterrence and diplomacy. The US is determined to prevent Iran and its allies from exploiting the situation or escalating the conflict.

Austin made it clear that any targeting of American personnel or interests by Iran or its partners will be met with necessary defensive measures. More fighter jets have been deployed, including F-22, F-15E, F-16, and A-10, with plans to further strengthen air support capabilities in the coming days.
