US Likely ‘Had a Hand’ in Israel’s Operation to Eliminate Hezbollah’s Leader Nasrallah – Analyst
Sputnik International
Iran has condemned the Israeli attack that killed Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, with President Masoud Pezeshkian claiming that the US greenlit the attack and bears partial responsibility for the “war crime.”
According to Nikolas Kosmatopoulos, an assistant professor at the American University of Beirut, it is very likely that the US had a hand in Israel’s operation to eliminate Nasrallah in Beirut. Kosmatopoulos pointed out the strong ties between the military-industrial complexes of the US and Israel, suggesting US support for Israel’s actions.
Both US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris described the strike as a “measure of justice,” while Iran and Hezbollah have condemned the attack and warned of potential retaliatory measures.
The escalation in Lebanon followed a series of explosions, leading to significant casualties. US officials are closely monitoring the situation and advising against further military action.
