Tinubu inaugurates Kekere-Ekun as 23rd CJN

Justice Kudirat Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun was inaugurated as the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria by President Bola Tinubu, who emphasized the importance of an independent judiciary in upholding Nigeria’s democracy. As the second female CJN in history, Justice Kekere-Ekun’s confirmation by the Senate marked a historic moment witnessed by former Chief Justices and judicial leaders.

President Tinubu acknowledged the judiciary’s role as a pillar of democracy and vowed to preserve its independence.
