PPP Leader Ali Haider Gillani Expresses Dissatisfaction with Power-Sharing Formula in Punjab
In a recent press conference in Lahore, Ali Haider Gillani, a prominent leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, voiced his concerns over the lack of progress in the power-sharing formula in Punjab. Despite the existence of a written agreement, Gillani lamented that the deal has yet to be implemented.
He highlighted the importance of recognizing the constitutional role of the Governor of Punjab and emphasized the need to avoid disputes over the appointment of vice-chancellors in provincial universities. Gillani criticized the PML-N for not fulfilling its political promises and accused the Punjab government of adopting a bureaucratic approach.
While expressing his party’s commitment to the power-sharing formula, Gillani accused the PML-N of evading their responsibilities. The PPP leader urged for a resolution to the ongoing differences and called for a more cooperative approach in governance.
