Possible poisoning hinted in unredacted Navalny death report – The Insider

An official Russian investigation into the death of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny was heavily redacted, removing any mention of possible poisoning, as reported by The Insider on Sunday. Navalny’s widow received a letter from Russian investigators claiming no signs of foul play, attributing his death to illnesses.

However, The Insider published the unredacted version of the letter revealing details of Navalny’s symptoms before his death, indicating possible poisoning. The authenticity of the report could not be independently verified by The Moscow Times.

Doctor Alexander Polupan, who treated Navalny after his 2020 poisoning, suggested that the symptoms described strongly point to poisoning, possibly by an organophosphorus agent. These chemicals, known as nerve agents, disrupt the nervous system.

Navalny had previously released a video implicating the FSB in his 2020 poisoning. Another document obtained listed items collected from the scene, including vomit samples. Prosecutors have now ordered a continuation of the investigation into Navalny’s death.
