Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of Cyprus, Michael Mavros, on September 30. The meeting was held to present the ambassador with a copy of his credentials.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan praised Ambassador Mavros on his new role and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen the already excellent cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus. They highlighted the strong political relations between the two countries, emphasizing the regular high-level visits and contacts.
The discussions also touched upon various issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including Armenia’s partnership with the EU. Hovhannisyan introduced the ambassador to Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative and emphasized the importance of collaboration on international platforms.
Furthermore, Hovhannisyan provided insights into the security situation in the South Caucasus region and the recent developments in Armenia’s relations with Azerbaijan.
