Lie-sufi battles dictator Zille for Tshwane mayorship

The political drama in Gauteng continues as the ANC takes on the DA, with Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Helen Zille clashing over the removal of Cilliers Brink as Tshwane mayor. Brink was ousted after a motion of no-confidence, supported by the ANC, ActionSA, and other parties.

Zille criticized the ANC for risking the government of national unity, while Lesufi defended the ANC’s decision-making process. The DA’s relationship with ActionSA has been unstable, leading to leadership inconsistencies in the capital.

Lesufi emphasized the ANC’s independent stance, rejecting Zille’s accusations. He reaffirmed that the ANC will not be dictated to by the DA, asserting the party’s unity and strength. Zille, in turn, labeled Lesufi’s claims as lies.

The back-and-forth between the ANC and DA highlights the power struggles within the Gauteng political landscape, with both parties vying for control and influence.
