Israel is conducting limited ground operations targeting Hezbollah inside Lebanon, according to the US State Department.
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller stated that Israel is currently conducting these operations to target Hezbollah infrastructure near the border.
Israel’s Defense Minister had warned of potential troop deployment to combat Hezbollah, with plans to utilize air, sea, and land forces.
Ongoing border clashes between Israel and Hezbollah escalated following Hamas’s attack on Israel, resulting in extensive Israeli strikes inside Lebanon, including the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.
