Iran’s Foreign Minister, Araghchi, recently met with Lebanon’s Hezbollah representative in Tehran to offer condolences. Araghchi expressed his condolences for the loss of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, emphasizing that the blood of martyrs is a powerful weapon in the fight against enemies. He highlighted the historical significance of martyrdom in Shia culture, mentioning the strengthening effect it has had on Hezbollah.
Araghchi also discussed Iran’s efforts at the UN Security Council to address the recent attack on Beirut and the need for international support for Lebanon amid the crisis. He stressed the importance of solidarity among Islamic countries and the urgency of providing aid to displaced Lebanese people.
During his trip to New York for the UN General Assembly, Araghchi engaged with foreign ministers from Lebanon, Egypt, and Russia to address the ongoing challenges posed by the Zionist regime and its American support. He called out the United States as a complicit partner in the regime’s actions.
