Hezbollah to select new leader as Israel intensifies Beirut strikes

Hezbollah in Lebanon is set to select a new leader following the death of Hassan Nasrallah, as announced by deputy chief Naim Qassem. The process will adhere to the party’s selection mechanism, ensuring a smooth transition. Qassem also dispelled doubts about the organization’s missile capabilities, stating that Hezbollah was fully prepared for a prolonged conflict.

Amid escalating tensions, Israeli airstrikes continue across Lebanon, resulting in casualties among Palestinian groups and civilians. The Lebanese health ministry reported a significant death toll, sparking concerns of further violence.

In response, Hezbollah remains steadfast, ready to confront any Israeli ground invasion. Israeli leaders have hinted at military offensives, increasing fears of a potential large-scale conflict.
