Hezbollah deputy vows to continue battle against Israel despite losses

Hezbollah deputy leader, Naim Kassem, vows to continue fighting Israel despite the loss of top leadership, including chief Hassan Nasrallah. In a televised statement, Kassem declared readiness for a prolonged conflict, with Hezbollah fighters prepared to defend Lebanon against any Israeli ground offensive.

Following Nasrallah’s assassination and the deaths of six top commanders in Israeli strikes, Hezbollah faces a leadership vacuum. Kassem assumes the role of acting leader, emphasizing that the group remains resilient with new commanders in place.

While casualties mount in Lebanon and Israeli airstrikes persist, Kassem asserts that Hezbollah’s military capabilities remain intact. The ongoing conflict escalates as Israeli attacks target various locations in Lebanon, prompting concerns of a potential Israeli ground invasion.

With Hezbollah increasing rocket attacks and Israel responding with airstrikes, the situation remains volatile. Despite calls for a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shows little inclination to halt the offensive, as his country makes military gains against Hezbollah.
