The deliberate targeting of medical personnel and journalists is evident in the deaths of 986 medical workers and 174 journalists. The humanitarian crisis is compounded by 10,000 missing individuals and 25,973 children orphaned.
With closed crossings hindering aid access, 12,000 wounded individuals, including 10,000 cancer patients, require treatment abroad. Infrastructure damage is extensive, with 150,000 housing units destroyed and 80,000 more damaged.
