In a tragic incident, Constable Sandeep, on duty in plainclothes, was killed in a hit-and-run by two individuals consuming alcohol in their car near Veena Enclave in Delhi. Despite Sandeep’s attempts to stop them, the two fled the scene, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
One of the accused was apprehended, while the other remains at large. The Delhi Police are actively seeking to apprehend the prime suspect, Dharmender, and are investigating possible connections to bootleggers in the area. Sandeep, a 2018-batch constable from Rohtak, Haryana, leaves behind a grieving family.
The Delhi Police have expressed their solidarity with Sandeep’s family during this difficult time. Senior officials paid their respects, and the investigation into the incident continues to bring the perpetrators to justice.
