In a tragic incident, Lebanon’s health ministry confirmed that six rescuers from the Hezbollah-affiliated Islamic Health Committee were killed in an Israeli strike in the Bekaa Valley. The strike targeted the civil defense center of the Islamic Health Committee in the town of Sohmor, resulting in six deaths and four injuries, sparking condemnation for the targeting of rescue services.

Additionally, a Lebanese army soldier lost his life in an Israeli airstrike at an army checkpoint in Wazzani. The escalation in conflict between Israel and Hezbollah over the past year has resulted in numerous casualties, with the Lebanese army facing challenges due to limited resources and equipment amidst an economic crisis.

Over the weekend, another strike near Sidon resulted in 45 casualties, with a building collapsing due to the attack. The toll continues to rise, indicating the devastating impact of the conflict on civilian lives in the region.
