정무위, 한화 김동관 국감에서 ‘경영권 편법승계 의혹’ 증인 요청

In a recent turn of events, Kim Dong-kwan, Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group, has been selected as a witness for questioning in the parliamentary audit concerning the suspicions of irregular succession of Hanwha’s management rights. With the National Assembly planning to hold a fair trade commission audit next month, Kim has also been designated as a witness for that hearing. The parliamentary audit aims to address the allegations of irregularities related to Hanwha’s business succession.

The audit process will also involve questioning executives from various big tech companies, including KakaoPay, Apple Korea, and Google Korea, regarding privacy breaches. Moreover, executives from e-commerce platforms like Coupang and WeMakePrice will also be summoned to provide testimonies on the controversy surrounding unprocessed transactions. Furthermore, the audit will also focus on the issue of improper loans to relatives at Woori Financial Holdings, with the company’s chairman set to testify at the Financial Services Commission audit in October.

This forthcoming audit is expected to begin on October 7 and run for about a month, with all designated witnesses required to attend unless valid reasons prevent their participation. Stay tuned for updates on this high-stakes parliamentary audit session.
