Ukraine Hits Russian Ammo Depot with Drones

Ukraine launched a daring drone attack on a major weapons depot deep inside Russia, causing a fire and ammunition detonation at the Kotluban military depot in the Volgograd region. The strike, reportedly targeting Iranian weapons recently delivered to the site, dealt a blow to Russia’s missile and artillery capabilities.

While Russia claimed to have destroyed 67 drones over the region, Ukrainian sources revealed that over 100 drones flew more than 600 kilometers to carry out the mission. The attack led to shortages in ammunition for Russian forces, according to Ukrainian defense sector reports.

Despite the damage caused, Russian officials confirmed no casualties from the drone assault, which marked the largest Ukrainian drone attack since President Putin’s announcement of changes to the country’s nuclear doctrine. Regional governors reported incidents of drones causing fires and damage in various areas.

This latest escalation comes amid ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia, with Moscow retaliating against Ukrainian drone strikes. The conflict highlights the evolving nature of modern warfare and the use of advanced technology in military operations.
