Russia Destroys 125 Ukrainian Drones

Overnight, Russia successfully downed 125 Ukrainian drones that entered its territory, as reported by the defense ministry. Despite some damage caused, there were no casualties reported from the attack.

The ministry stated that 125 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs were intercepted and destroyed by the air defense systems on duty, with the majority being taken down over various regions in southern Russia.

Although falling debris from the drones sparked grass fires in some areas, regional governors confirmed no casualties or significant damage. However, fires did break out in two residential buildings due to drones falling in the city and its suburbs.

Overall, the drones were intercepted and taken down over several regions, including the Volgograd, Belgorod, Voronezh, and Rostov regions, as well as Bryansk, Kursk, Krasnodar, and the Sea of Azov waters.

This incident follows Russia’s frequent interception of Ukrainian drones, as tensions continue to rise between the two countries over recent military activities. The defense ministry has been actively responding to what Kyiv claims as retaliatory strikes.
