However, media reports suggest otherwise. Lavrov criticized Israel’s actions as a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and urged an immediate halt to the violence.
The airstrikes have caused significant casualties in Lebanon, with over 558 people killed and many more injured or displaced. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has heightened tensions in the region, with Moscow calling for diplomatic efforts to prevent a larger war.
Lavrov emphasized that Israel’s military campaign will not achieve its goals and urged a shift towards peace and security on the Israeli-Lebanese border. The situation remains critical, requiring an urgent ceasefire to avert further catastrophe.
