Police and army rescue six kidnapped victims in Katsina, Nigeria

Police in Katsina State, in conjunction with soldiers, successfully thwarted two separate kidnapping attempts and rescued six victims. ASP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, the Public Relations Officer of the Katsina Police Command, revealed this in a statement. The first incident occurred on the Jibia – Kauran Namoda road, where four kidnapped victims were rescued, although one victim did not survive the attack. The second attempt took place at Unguwar Boka village, Faskari Local Government Area, resulting in the fatal shooting of one victim by the assailants.

The quick response of the police operatives, alongside the military, played a crucial role in preventing more casualties. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators and continue the investigation. This commendable collaboration between law enforcement agencies highlights the dedication to ensuring the safety and security of residents in the region.
