Israeli airstrike targets Hezbollah intelligence leader in Beirut.

Last Updated:

In a series of escalating tensions, a top Hezbollah leader was killed in a targeted Israeli airstrike in Beirut’s southern suburbs, just a day after the death of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The IDF announced the elimination of Hassan Khalil Yassin, known for his role in identifying Israeli targets within Hezbollah’s intelligence division.

Israel also targeted Nabil Qaouk, a senior leader in Hezbollah, in the strike, with details on his fate remaining unclear.

The Israeli military described the strike as “precise” in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut, aiming at Hezbollah positions in the region.

Reports suggest the strikes also targeted a warehouse near Beirut’s airport, a key facility in Lebanon.

Since Friday, Israel has attacked over 140 Hezbollah positions, causing significant destruction in southern Beirut.

Hezbollah confirmed Nasrallah’s death, emphasizing the ongoing conflict between Israel and the militant group.

The recent escalations have resulted in a high death toll, with Israel aiming to cripple Hezbollah’s operations in the region.
