Israel eliminates another high-ranking Hezbollah official

Israeli military claims to have eliminated another senior Hezbollah official, Nabil Qaouk, a member of the group’s Central Council and commander of the Preventive Security Unit. This follows recent operations targeting top Hezbollah leadership.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the air raid that killed Qaouk, stating he was involved in promoting terrorist acts against Israel. Described as close to the top of Hezbollah, Qaouk joined the group in the 1980s and held key positions in southern Lebanon.

The IDF continues to target Hezbollah commanders to protect Israeli citizens. Iran confirmed the death of Abbas Nilforoushan, a deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in the same strike. Hezbollah has not yet responded to the Israeli claims.

In related news, Israel bombed a Hezbollah compound in Beirut, targeting long-time enemy Hassan Nasrallah. Reports suggest Israel may soon launch a limited incursion into southern Lebanon. The region serves as a base for Hezbollah’s military activities, posing a threat to Israeli security.
