Israel carried out large-scale air strikes on Yemen targeting military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime. The strikes included hitting power plants and a port in Ras Issa and Hodeidah. Concurrently, Israel conducted attacks across Lebanon, including on Hezbollah’s stronghold in southern Beirut. The suburb, where Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed, saw the deaths of 20 other Hezbollah figures in the attack. Additionally, Lebanon reported more than 30 deaths, including 17 people from the same family.

Iran vowed revenge over Israel’s killing of a top Revolutionary Guard official and Hezbollah chief Nasrallah. Meanwhile, Austria’s far-right Freedom Party headed for an unprecedented election victory under Herbert Kickl’s leadership. Kickl, promising to build “Fortress Austria,” dominated the race based on migration, asylum, inflation, and the war in Ukraine.

Furthermore, at least ten people were killed in Russian attacks on a hospital in Sumy, Ukraine, with China warning against expanding the war. Hurricane Helene devastated multiple states, trapping families in floodwaters, while the U.S. Department of Transportation fined Air Canada for operating flights in prohibited Iraqi airspace.
