Hespress ENSunday 29 September 2024 – 15:22

On October 4, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) will announce its decision regarding an appeal against the French government’s authorization of agricultural imports from Western Sahara, focusing on tomatoes and melons.

Advocate General Tamara Ćapeta called for products to be labeled with their true origin, a stance welcomed by the Polisario Front. However, the CJEU has yet to rule on the appeal to overturn a previous decision from September 29, 2021.
