Tragedy Strikes: Balochistan Mourns the Loss of Seven Laborers
In a heartbreaking incident, seven laborers were brutally shot dead in Khudabadan, Panjgur District of Balochistan. The victims, hailing from Punjab, were staying in a workers’ quarter when armed assailants attacked them, leaving them dead on the spot.
The Balochistan government swiftly arranged for a helicopter to transport the deceased workers’ bodies to Multan, as directed by the Chief Minister. Additionally, one injured laborer has been taken to CMH Quetta for urgent medical treatment.
To prevent such tragedies in the future, Deputy Commissioner Panjgur, Zahid Ahmed Langove, has mandated the registration of all non-local laborers working in the district. Employers found hiring unregistered workers will face severe consequences, as warned by the DC.
This incident serves as a grim reminder of the risks faced by laborers in conflict-ridden regions, highlighting the importance of ensuring their safety and security at all times.
