APGA Emerges Victorious in Anambra LG Polls

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, celebrates a landslide victory in the September 28, 2024, local government elections in Anambra State, clinching all chairmanship and councillorship seats across the 21 local government areas of the state. The Chairman of the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission, ANSIEC, Genevieve Osakwe, made the announcement at the ANSIEC office in Awka.

Osakwe declared the election as free and fair, highlighting the meticulous collation and analysis of results by the commission to ensure accuracy. Notably, no opposition candidates or political party representatives were present during the declaration of results, signaling APGA’s dominance.

Osakwe commended the electorate for their active participation and acknowledged the efforts of security agencies in maintaining peace and order during the process. The successful outcome of the election reaffirms the commitment to democracy and transparency in Anambra State.

With the victory cementing APGA’s stronghold, the results underscore a resounding endorsement of their leadership at the local level, setting the stage for continued progress and development in the state.
