Yemen’s Houthi rebels have launched a drone and cruise missile strike on American warships in the Middle East, targeting US destroyers heading towards Israel. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh confirmed the attack but stated that no damage was caused to US Navy ships. The Houthi group claims to have hit three US destroyers supporting Israel with 23 ballistic and cruise missiles and a drone, insisting that all ships were directly hit. This attack was in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza amid Israeli aggression.
Despite international coalition efforts to curb Houthi attacks on shipping lanes, the group remains undeterred, even demanding an end to Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
