US warships attacked by missiles and drones

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have launched a drone and cruise missile strike on American warships in the Middle East, targeting US destroyers heading towards Israel. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh confirmed the attack but stated that no damage was caused to US Navy ships. The Houthi group claims to have hit three US destroyers supporting Israel with 23 ballistic and cruise missiles and a drone, insisting that all ships were directly hit. This attack was in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza amid Israeli aggression.

Despite international coalition efforts to curb Houthi attacks on shipping lanes, the group remains undeterred, even demanding an end to Israeli aggression against Lebanon. Recent escalations between Hezbollah and Israel have led to further tensions in the region. Israel’s intensified airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in over 1,300 deaths, sparking outrage and calls for an end to the violence.
