UN Charter Defense Group adopts declaration to end Israeli occupation- SANA

Foreign ministers of the Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter emphasized the urgency of ending the illegal Israeli occupation in Palestine and the Arab territories. This was highlighted during their sixth meeting in New York, with the participation of Foreign Minister Bassam Sabbagh. The focus was on the catastrophic consequences of the situation in occupied Palestine, especially in Gaza, and the importance of putting an end to Israeli occupation and aggressive actions in the region.

The ministers reiterated the necessity of Israel’s withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories, including the Syrian Golan Heights, in compliance with relevant UN resolutions. They strongly condemned Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, emphasizing respect for international law and the UN Charter. Additionally, they called for the lifting of illegal, unilateral coercive measures against Syria to alleviate humanitarian suffering and foster development.
