Israeli soldiers leak video of Rafah mosque explosion

Shocking video released by Israeli soldiers shows the deliberate destruction of a mosque in Rafah, Gaza. The soldiers were seen setting up explosives in the Raed Al-Attar Mosque before detonating it, despite the building being empty. The footage sparked outrage on social media, with many condemning it as a war crime.

Palestinian journalist Younis Tirawi shared the video, highlighting that there was no apparent threat inside the mosque. The intentional destruction of religious sites like mosques has been a common tactic used in the conflict, adding to the devastation in Gaza. Satellite imagery shows that over 60 percent of Gaza’s mosques have been damaged or destroyed, along with nearly 59 percent of all buildings.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in the displacement of millions of Palestinians and the loss of thousands of lives. Israel’s relentless bombardment has left the territory in ruins, with many struggling to rebuild their lives amidst the destruction.
