Impact of Nasrallah’s death on Hezbollah

Recent strikes targeting Hezbollah leader Nasrallah have caused a massive demoralization among supporters, but the organization is built to withstand such shocks, according to expert Amal Saad. Despite the impact on morale, Hezbollah is resilient and designed to outlast individual leaders.

Hezbollah’s potential leadership contenders may struggle to match Nasrallah’s popularity, as he is linked to the group’s past victories. However, if Hezbollah’s leadership is dismantled and Iran’s coordination disrupted, the responsibility may shift to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, suggests analyst Hanin Ghaddar.

The loss of Nasrallah could prompt Iran to take a more active role, but the challenges of directly involving themselves in Lebanon are significant. Despite these potential disruptions, Hezbollah is expected to endure and adapt in the face of adversity.
