Hamas sends condolences to Hezbollah after Hassan Nasrallah’s assassination

Hamas condoles Nasrallah’s death, blames US and Israel

Over the weekend, Hamas expressed its condolences to the Lebanese people and Hezbollah for the death of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike. In a statement, Hamas extended its heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the people of Lebanon and their brothers in Hezbollah.

Hamas also condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression in both Lebanon and Palestine, putting the blame on the US government for its support of the occupation and silence regarding the violence against Palestinian and Lebanese people.

The statement comes after an escalation in hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel, with heavy bombardment along the Lebanese-Israeli border. Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to resistance, emphasizing that the martyrdom of leaders like Nasrallah will only strengthen their unity in the struggle.

Both Hezbollah and Israel have been engaged in cross-border conflicts since the Israeli onslaught on Gaza, leading to warnings from the international community of a potential regional war.
