CAM recognizes Albanian PM Edi Rama for fighting hate

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama Honored at New York City Event

An event titled “Bridging Nations: A Tribute to Prime Minister Edi Rama” took place in New York City, where Rama was commended for his efforts in promoting unity among Balkan countries, building bridges with European countries and the United States, and combating antisemitism and supporting minority communities. The event was organized by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) in partnership with the Center for Jewish Impact and B’nai B’rith International, and was attended by diplomats, international leaders, and Jewish community leaders.

During his keynote address, Rama emphasized the threats posed by Hamas and the importance of fighting antisemitism. US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, expressed the US government’s commitment to working with Albania on this issue.

Presentation of Award

Prime Minister Rama was presented with the CAM Global Leadership Award for his dedication to combating antisemitism and religious prejudice. The event highlighted the importance of unity and addressing the rise of antisemitism globally.
