Cabinet approves law on government leadership

Amman – The Cabinet has recently approved the government leadership bylaw for 2024, aligning with the public sector’s modernization roadmap. This bylaw is designed to establish a comprehensive system for managing and empowering government leadership within the public sector, fostering an environment that nurtures strong leadership potential in future leaders.

One significant aspect of the bylaw is its implementation of performance evaluation standards for all positions within the senior category. These standards will include annually determined indicators to gauge performance effectively.

The Cabinet also made amendments to the Cultural Centre Bylaw 2024, streamlining the licensing procedures under the Ministry of Education while enhancing its role in overseeing cultural centres. Furthermore, an amendment to the administrative organization bylaw of the Ministry of Social Development was approved to support policies empowering women economically and socially, alongside expanding social protection and care programs.
