Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, Retno Marsudi, met during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation, focusing on preparations for COP29.
They highlighted the importance of strengthening ties in various sectors like economy, transport, and tourism, while also emphasizing collaboration within international organizations like the UN and OIC.
Bayramov shared Azerbaijan’s initiatives on climate change as the chair of COP29, expressing readiness to work with Indonesia in this area. The meeting concluded with the signing of an agreement for visa exemption for diplomatic and service passport holders between the two countries.
