The local government election in Anambra State conducted by ANSIEC on September 28 had mixed reactions. While APGA members praised it as a success, opposition parties had complaints of chaos and disenfranchisement. Election materials were delayed and incomplete, leading to frustration among voters.
In some areas, like Atani, the exercise went smoothly, and Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon.Somtochukwu Udeze, commended the state government for providing security. However, in places like Orumba South, AA candidate Norbert Okoli lamented about his people being disenfranchised due to misinformation by ANSIEC.
