Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh, killing eight people and injuring around 80.

The attacks targeted residential buildings in Haret Hreik, resulting in casualties and significant damage.

Civil defense and medical teams are working to rescue survivors from the rubble.

Hezbollah’s al-Manar TV reported more than 15 missiles striking the area.

Israel defended the operation as targeting Hezbollah’s central headquarters, located within civilian neighborhoods.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has conducted frequent attacks on Lebanon in response to Hezbollah’s support for Gaza.

Hezbollah has vowed to defend Lebanon against Israeli aggression, citing previous successful resistance in 2000 and 2006.
