In a shocking incident at the Neemuch district hospital in Madhya Pradesh, at least 19 children’s health deteriorated after being administered antibiotic injections. The children, aged between two and four years, were initially reported to have worsened health conditions following the injections. Concerned family members staged a protest, prompting senior officials to investigate the matter.
Civil surgeon Dr. Mahendra Patil confirmed the incident, stating that the cause of the children’s deteriorating health is being looked into. Some families transferred their children to private hospitals, while others remained in the ICU at the district hospital. The SDM assured that the children’s health is now stable.
The injection in question has been sent for testing, as similar concerns over the quality of injections from certain batches have surfaced before in Madhya Pradesh. The incident raises questions about the safety and effectiveness of medical treatments for children in hospitals. Authorities are working to ensure the well-being of the affected children and prevent such incidents in the future.
