The Federal Government has announced a significant relief effort for victims of devastating floods and reforms in the health and agricultural sectors. Vice President Kashim Shettima met with representatives from the foundation during the 79th United Nations General Assembly, where the pledges were made. The government reiterated its commitment to addressing national challenges such as malnutrition and food security.
The Gates Foundation expressed support for Nigeria’s health reforms, particularly in the fight against polio. Plans were also outlined for promoting cassava development and maize production.
