Spanish Civil Guard Foils Migrant Entry Attempt in Melilla
On Thursday afternoon, Spanish Civil Guard agents successfully thwarted a group of migrants trying to enter Melilla via boat. The incident unfolded at the border perimeter between Spain and Morocco, with the anti-intrusion device being activated to prevent entry in cooperation with Moroccan forces.
Witnesses reported around twenty migrants sitting near the Southern Dike, with security forces escorting them through a gate in the fence onto the Moroccan side one by one. To ensure order, multiple patrols were deployed, and a security perimeter established, disrupting traffic on the South Dock.
