Israeli strikes on Lebanon increase Likud party favorability: Poll

The Likud Party’s Popularity Soars Amid Israeli Offensive on Lebanon

A recent poll revealed that the Israeli offensive on Lebanon has significantly boosted the popularity of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party. The survey projected Likud to lead with 25 seats in the Knesset, compared to 19 for its main rival, the National Unity party led by Benny Gantz.

The survey highlighted that on the backdrop of the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah, Likud has strengthened its position. This is the first time since the war on Gaza began that Likud has gained such an advantage. Opposition parties like Yesh Atid and Yisrael Beiteinu also gained seats in the projected results.

In the event of elections today, Netanyahu’s opposition bloc is projected to win 57 seats, just shy of the 61 needed to form a government. With the war in Gaza ongoing, imminent elections are not expected.
