Israel continues its airstrikes in the Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh, targeting alleged Hezbollah leader Srur, also known as Abu Saleh. He was reportedly in charge of Hezbollah’s drone, cruise missile, and air defense branch. While Israeli forces claim Saleh was killed in the strike, a Lebanese security source close to Hezbollah says his fate is still unclear.
Two people were confirmed martyred in Thursday’s bombing, but their identities have not been released by the Lebanese Health Ministry. Abu Saleh had led Hezbollah’s drone manufacturing operations in Lebanon and served as the group’s attache in Yemen, collaborating with Yemeni drone and missile forces.
Israel has targeted at least three senior Hezbollah commanders in recent days, including Ibrahim Aqil, Ahmed Wahbi, and Ibrahim Qubaisi. The conflict escalates as the region remains on edge, with tensions between Israel and Hezbollah escalating.
