Israel Air Force chief, Tomer Bar, recently announced plans to support ground operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon. The air force will prevent arms transfers from Iran to Hezbollah and aid troops in any necessary ground maneuvers. By degrading Hezbollah’s capabilities from Iran, the air force aims to limit the group’s functionality and recovery after Israeli strikes.
“We are preparing, shoulder-to-shoulder, with Northern Command for a ground maneuver”
Bar emphasized the importance of collaboration between ground and air forces for successful operations in Lebanon. He highlighted the need to apply pressure strategically, targeting various locations and capabilities of Hezbollah.
Bar expressed readiness to strike targets in different regions, including underground facilities and areas in southern Lebanon and Beirut. He stressed the opportunity to systematically degrade Hezbollah’s capabilities both from the air and on the ground.
