EFF revels in DA mayor Brink’s downfall in Tshwane

Excitement runs high in the EFF camp as the DA’s Cilliers Brink is ousted as mayor of Tshwane. Brink’s removal came after a vote by 120 council members from various parties, citing his failure in managing service delivery, infrastructure, and finances.

EFF provincial chairperson Nkululeko Dunga expressed relief at Brink’s removal, emphasizing the victory for residents of Hammanskraal, Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Atteridgeville, and Mabopane. He also highlighted the support for municipal workers who felt dismissed under Brink’s leadership.

Dunga criticized Tshwane’s financial performance under Brink’s tenure, noting a disclaimer performance opinion that exposed a lack of reliable systems for monitoring essential services. The removal of Brink is seen as a significant step towards improving the lives of Tshwane residents and ensuring better governance in the city.
