He took to social media to share the video of the tragic incident, calling for immediate action to address the prevalent violence in the city.
The graphic video circulating on social media shows the driver being confronted by two armed men, resulting in a fatal shooting in broad daylight. One suspect has been apprehended, but another remains at large. Tshwaku assured the public that efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice, with the help of crime intelligence and Johannesburg metro police.
Police spokesperson Lt-Col Mavela Masondo revealed that the driver was lured to a pickup location before the attack took place. The shocking incident has sparked outrage and renewed calls for increased safety measures in the city.
