Despite conflict, industrial park numbers double in Ukraine

The number of registered industrial parks in Ukraine has doubled since Russia’s full-scale invasion, now totaling 92. Artur Melezhyk, head of the Department of Industrial Parks and Investment Support at the Ministry of Economy, made the announcement at the Vinnytsia Industrial Forum. Before the war, Ukraine had 53 industrial parks, with 12 being removed and new ones added in the past two years.

The increase is attributed to businesses relocating due to the conflict, with industrial parks being created to attract other enterprises for more efficient operations. The government views the establishment of industrial parks as part of the “Made in Ukraine” economic policy, aimed at boosting investment and regional development.

This growth in industrial parks is seen as a positive step towards rebuilding the economy in Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict. As enterprises continue to relocate and new parks are established, the country is creating a foundation for future economic growth and development.
