African leaders urge UN for increased development.

Published by

African leaders gathered at the United Nations General Assembly to call for more support and assistance in advancing the development of their nations. They stressed the need for collaboration and collective efforts to address challenges and obstacles hindering progress.

Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, emphasized the importance of Africa charting a new course of development, highlighting the continent’s potential and the aspirations of its people for a better future.

Liberian President Joseph Boakai underscored the importance of utilizing collective knowledge to find solutions that preserve the planet for future generations, while Seychelles’ President Wavel Ramkalawan emphasized the urgency of acting together to ensure a sustainable future for all.

The discussions at the General Debate revolved around the theme of “Leaving no one behind,” emphasizing the need for global cooperation to achieve peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for present and future generations.

It is imperative to support African nations in their development efforts and ensure they are not left behind in the pursuit of a more sustainable future. Collaboration, unity, and shared responsibilities are crucial in achieving these goals.

We must act urgently and work together to unlock Africa’s vast potential, cultivate global partnerships, and prioritize Africa’s development in the international agenda.
