Iran’s Foreign Minister addressed the United Nations Security Council Stakeout in New York, expressing grave concern over the escalating situation in Lebanon. He accused Israel of mass murdering civilians in Gaza and now turning its aggression towards Lebanon, causing immense suffering and devastation.
Calling Israel a “rogue aggressive regime,” he condemned their unlawful invasion of Lebanon and called on the Security Council to intervene to restore peace. He highlighted the role of the United States and its allies in enabling Israel’s atrocities, emphasizing the urgent need for immediate action to stop the bloodshed.
He warned that the region is on the brink of a full-scale catastrophe and urged Israel to cease its attacks on Gaza and Lebanon. If the Security Council fails to act, the region risks descending into full-scale conflict, holding Israel’s enablers accountable for the consequences.
Iran stands in solidarity with Lebanon and reaffirms its right to defend its vital interests, emphasizing the importance of halting Israel’s aggression to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
