Hope Rises: Iraq Stands by Lebanon Amid Israeli Aggression
As Israel’s relentless attacks on Lebanon continue, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani of Iraq has unveiled a series of initiatives to support the Lebanese people. These efforts include visa extensions, waivers, and free entry for Lebanese nationals in Iraq, exemplifying solidarity between the two Arab nations.
Emphasizing the need for international intervention, Iraq’s highest religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, condemned the “brutal Zionist aggression” and called for urgent humanitarian aid to protect civilians and restore peace in the region.
Meanwhile, Iraq’s Parliament has called a special session to address the Israeli offensive, with Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr urging support for Lebanon. The human toll is evident, with casualties rising daily and thousands seeking refuge from the airstrikes.
In Baghdad, the Iraqi Martyrs Foundation has launched a relief campaign for Lebanon, reflecting the unified Arab response to the crisis. As diplomatic efforts intensify, Iraq aims to mobilize regional and international support for Lebanon and push for a ceasefire to prevent further destabilization.
